The American Motors Corporation was still kicking back in '69. They introduced the 2-seater AMX to battle the Corvette. Basically a shortened Javelin (which did quite well in SCCA racing vs Mustangs & Camaros). The 390 was the top offering with an advertised 315 Horsepower and a T-10 4 Speed Transmission. These were competitive cars posting mid-14 second quarter miles in stock form. They also handled quite well thanks to their light weight. 

This Willow Green example came to us from the desert of Arizona where it lived with the previous owner for 30 years. Thanks to a dry climate and a nice garage this one has survived quite nicely. You will be hard pressed to find a better example. The paint is quite nice, easily a standout at your local car show. The only signs of corrosion on the body are a couple small bubbles in the passenger rear wheel well as seen in the photos.

Inside this one is equally nice with just enough room for your best friend and some gear. The front buckets were reupholstered and a full carpet kit installed. The door panels are still quite nice, especially for originals. 

Under the hood the 390 runs excellent. The factory chrome valve covers are missing the engine number tag so numbers matching can't be confirmed on this one. The previous owner stated he believed it to be the original born-with motor. The 4-Speed transmission works properly through the factory Hurst linkage.

Magnum 500's wrapped with redline tires really complete the look on this one!
